I don't know about you, but most of my practice time focuses on being able to play things which I can't play.
This has real benefits for sure, but sometimes I think it's important to flip it around the other way - taking things we can play easily and polishing them until they sound perfect.
When we do this the challenge stops being 'can I play it' - instead it becomes 'can I play it to an awesome standard?'
I've found this can help us to polish and perfect important elements of our playing which are easy to overlook, especially when we're working at the edge of our comfort zone and ability!
Play around with this idea, it can be very powerful...
